First Article

Writing my first article was more daunting as I kept thinking about it than the actual process was. I found a wedding website that accepted free articles regarding weddings. I wrote an article about reducing the cost of flowers for a wedding. I named it "May Flowers & June Bouquets".

Not Breaking the Bank

In this tough economic climate some might think it is hard to have the wedding of their dreams. It takes being creative and thinking outside of the box to find the best prices to create what has been dreamt about since childhood. As we all know that little girls start planning their weddings long before the prince has been found. It’s hard to let go of the dreams of a little princess and I believe that they don’t have to be let go. It just takes some imagination and positive thinking.

Setting the mood at the reception can be inexpensive. It will take a bit of craftiness and a visit to the craft store. Or if there is an Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=candles) nearby a visit there would work as well. The first step would be to buy tea-lights. They can be bought in the wedding colors or white, which might be better for the budget. The tea-lights can be placed on flat mirrors that can also be purchased at the craft store. Place either one or three tea-lights on each mirror. The candle light will reflect in the mirror and create a beautiful ambiance for the wedding reception.

Another great resource for reception decorations and décor is Oriental Trading (orientaltrading.com). I recently received their “Wedding!” catalog and was happily amazed at the many wedding items that they sell as well as the quality of each item. The wedding décor runs the gambit from beach themed to elegant. It includes items I’d not thought of before such as: a personalized floor cling can be purchased to place in the middle of the dance floor where the first dance shall be.

Please continue to read my blogs as I will be posting more creative ideas to save money on the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.
